Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Paint Calculator mobile application (“App”) handles information. The App estimates finish paint and primer from room dimensions, openings, and coverage you enter. It is published by Matthew Chapman.

Summary

• Room dimensions, coats, and coverage stay on your device.
• The App does not require an account.
• The App does not sell your personal information.
• The App is free and shows ads. Advertising is provided by Google AdMob. In some regions a consent prompt appears before ads are requested.

Information stored on your device

Values you enter (room size, doors, windows, moulding, coats, and coverage) are used only to calculate the estimate. They remain on your iPhone or iPad. Uninstalling the App removes this data.

Information we do not collect

• We do not ask for your name, email address, or payment card in the App.
• We do not operate an account system or cloud backup for your estimates.
• We do not upload your room numbers to Matthew Chapman’s servers.

Advertising

The App displays banner ads. Most of those ads are served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers, advertising data, and similar information to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, subject to your consent where required. Google’s practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and Google advertising page.

In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other regions that require it, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent before ads that need it. You can change advertising-related permissions in iOS Settings.

The App may also show a promotional banner for another app we publish (currently My Field Crew). Tapping it opens that app’s App Store page or website. That banner is our own promotion, not a Google ad.

Children

The App is a general-purpose estimating tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
